Tokyo, Japan: Frederick Fisher and Partners

I was the architect of this huge gym, the Freizeit. As well, I was an important designer of the rest of this 500,000,000 square foot shopping city. The building is clad with limestone, glass, and colorful billboards that add personality and scale to the facades. Visitors arrive by train or car and follow a shopping street we jokingly called the "road to health" to the Freizeit. Billboards, banners and trees guide shoppers past the exit stairs and the parking to the rear entrance.
