Our Mission

We are Artists at Fisher ARCHitecture, architects with vision and ambition: Architecture has the power to surprise, to transform how people experience the world by provoking awe and wonder. But such architecture must transcend fads and cookie-cutter solutions through work that demonstrates ceaseless curiosity and perpetual openness. Our firm is agile, which provides us with the freedom and time to stretch the limits of what is possible!

We are also Artisans, architects who create unique designs that respond to their distinctive circumstances with grounded, practical purpose. Each Fisher ARCHitecture building reflects our deep understanding of the needs and requirements of both client and site. Our designs come into being as a result of deep knowledge cultivated from experience that we put to use during every project
step from conception through construction. We listen closely to our clients, patiently collaborating on designs tailored to their tastes, aspirations, and budget.

Our Vision

In today’s post-pandemic landscape, you need more than a one-size-fits all approach for your residential, commercial, or institutional project. Fisher ARCHitecture brings a fresh perspective, helping you create buildings that are both rooted in their local surroundings and globally appealing. We specialize in crafting spaces that draw in both employees and customers, blending seamlessly into the urban fabric while standing out on the world stage.

Our Process

After an initial meeting, we will agree on a project timeline and craft an Agreement defining your goals for the project. Then, we can promptly start the Schematic Design phase and support your contractor in determining the cost of the construction even at an early stage. Our three dimensional computer models incorporate a lot of information even in the early stages of a project.

We can produce more detailed drawings in the Design Development and Construction Document phases, always alongside renderings and tridimensional views that show you exactly how the project will look like. We have a flexible fee structure that can accommodate the needs of a developer in the various phases of a project development.

Our Services

We offer full architectural services for both new construction and renovation projects. We support our Clients from the pre-development phase to permitting and project procurement. Our services include creating as-built drawings, developing building plans, preparation of construction documents, coordinating the contract documents during construction, and complete interior design.

We also provide a broad range of services including feasibility studies, conceptualization of design, design finalization, photo-realistic renderings, marketing materials, and graphic design.

Bits of ARCHitecture: The Video Series that explores Fisher ARCHitecture’s process

Episode 1: “Introduction!”

Bea and I are concerned that most people have no idea how the architectural design process ACTUALLY happens, as opposed to the way it’s portrayed on TV. Our intent with this video series is to communicate the way a quality-focused, small, husband-and-wife architectural firm goes about designing projects. Above is our introduction video, in which we say hello and outline our intent. Each video below contains a different topic.

Episode 2: In this episode, we will review a few “First Steps” for the massing of a project. We will show ways to sculpt the generic volumes allowed by zoning ordinances. This is how a project begins!
Episode 3: In this episode, we walk you through the design of our remarkable “513 Court Place” project.
Episode 4: “Affordability”: In this episode, we will explain how we can work on projects with limited scope and budget. ALL of our projects are treated with the same care for good design and attention to details.
Episode 5: In this episode, we talk about the longest residential cantilever in Pittsburgh (and likely beyond!): The “Emerald Art Glass” Residence!
Episode 6: In this video, we guide you through the “The Architecture Process”, from the beginning of a project to its completion.
Episode 7: In this video, we talk about “The River House”
